Dear Baby,

We are eagerly awaiting your arrival. It’s June 26th and you are slated to arrive somewhere around the 4^th of July, give or take a few days (or weeks!). I think it’s fair to say that the person most excited to meet you is your big sister Sage. Every day now she is asking if you are coming, “tonight?” She has decided she is “catching you” when you are born and will be the first to have her hands on you, even before the midwife. Our plan is to birth at home, and based on how fast your sister came we are hoping for a speedy and drama free delivery!

June kicked off our big international travel adventures! Little did we know what lay ahead for us at the beginning of this month. We were so lucky that we made it to Sabine’s High School graduation, had some fun times with Noah and the Baudino family before we took off to Japan for 3 weeks! This was your first airplane ride in almost 2 years. I was super nervous to fly 12 hours by myself with you but like always- you were a champ. You were born to travel. You are so flexible and open to whatever we throw your way. I don’t know how this happened but we are eternally grateful!

Our big May adventure was the trip to Baja to Nana and Papa’s vacation home. We had a very relaxing and adventurous time. You were incredible on the car ride down. 12 hours in the car and no screen time. You busied yourself with singing, sleeping, looking out the window, using your imagination, playing with stickers and window decals. You have proven yourself to be an exceptional traveler. I hope this is always the case. Love you!

This month is a favorite of mine. We were in nature almost every weekend. The highlights of April 2015 were: A beach day with Noah, a trip to Vegas with the Baudinos,  the huge hike from Cactus to Clouds in Palm Springs, a long bike ride from Oceanside to San Juan, then Mammoth where we skied, played in the hot springs, and spent time with the Kubischtas and Danny and Katie. It was an incredible month! You also turned 3! We love nothing more than being in nature and being active with you! We love you Sage!

Dear my sweet Sage,

March was such an awesome month. We went on an unforgettable road trip from San Juan to St George, to Salt Lake City, to Jackson Hole and back to San Juan. Then we went to Holcomb Valley with Derek and Sabine. There is nothing we love more than enjoying the outdoors with you. Skiing, rock-climbing, running, hiking… adventuring in general. Dear Sage, October was another fun month. We are so blessed to have a baby girl who can travel anywhere and is always up for a good time. You are a handful and the first 6 months of two had it challenges, but we love you more than anything. I have now come to realize that Mommy’s lack of parenting skills definitely contributed to our struggles. But we have since worked through them and I am happy to report we are both doing much better! Enjoy your pics and video. You are the life of the party!
