Hey baby girl! This post has been a long time coming. It’s actually being written when you are already 3 1/2 years old! I am embarrassed to admit that but you should know I did keep a list of all these things on my phone so that they would eventually end up here, on your blog, permanently. Here are the funny things you said and things we noticed about you when you were 2.
I have written exactly what was on my phone. And all of these things were written when you were two. Love you sweet girl!
-You like to say, “I see sumpen!”
-One day when I was having a hard time you stretched out your arms and said, “Come here mama, come here mama- you ok”
-You like to pretend that you are going surfing on the boogie board in the living room. The other day when you were playing you said, “Op! I don’t have my wetsuit or my leash!”
-You love babies
-You are able to swim underwater between Mommy and Daddy
-You have a powerful imagination. You will walk up to a wall and pretend things come out of it. Anything that you may need for your game.
-You have a pretend ticket dispenser in your car seat. You like to get tickets and hand them to the driver.
-You like to pretend that you are wearing a watch. And then you pretend to lose it. You did this in Julian when we were there for Danny and Katie’s wedding when we were crossing the street with Matt Craig (Sierra and Taylor’s Daddy) he played right along with your game and helped you look for your watch.
-You like to say, “I love you.” Which of course makes my heart melt.
-Your babydoll is still very important to you and you take very good care of her.
-You love to play with your pretend kitchen
-You make up your own songs
-I bring books and stickers to restaurants with the hopes of keeping you still and occupied but you would rather climb on the booths or pretend you are surfing. You have very little interest in stickers or crayons. Moving and climbing is your thing
-We were in BJs Pizzeria in Vegas and you were pretending to surf in the booth. You said, “Paddle paddle, paddle, paddle…Op! Here comes another one. Didn’t make it. Try again. Fall in the water.”
-You came up to me with two little containers. I asked you what was in the containers and you said, “boogers and moogers.”
-Daddy has a secret pocket where he keeps your night night (pacifier)
-You and Noah are finally starting to interact when you play instead of the parallel play. At your last playdate you were talking and interacting so much!(Nov 21 2014)
-You like to put your babies to sleep. Get their pretend pacifiers off the bed, their almond mild, clip the pacifiers on and change their diapers.
-You made Daddy a “work neck neck” (Necklace) and you like him to wear it when he works from home. He does. When he doesn’t, you remind him.
-You sing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” but it sounds like “tickle tinkle little dar.
-You love pretending the couch is your car. The other day when you lost your night night you said, “Maybe it’s in the car couch!”
-You said, “I’m going to Vons to get a few stuff.”
-After you sneezed you said, “I blessed you and it runned.”
-You were referring to a big mess of toys and you said, “So many duff!”
-You said, “I am cited for all the duff!”
-We were at the San Diego Car Show, in a model car with Daddy when you rolled down the window of the car and yelled, “Mama! Come here now. I am NOT joking!”
-We went on an imaginary bike ride and you brought a pretend dog (Maggie from next door) with us. You were yelling at her to come, stopping to pick up her poop and holding her leash.
-Here is a conversation we had recently:
Sage: Why do we have whole bodies mama?
Me: Because that’s how we evolved.
Sage: What is evolved?
Me: Changing slowly over time.
Sage: Why did we evolve?
Me: Because over time our bodies needed to do new things so they changed.
Sage: What kind of new things
-When you eat a muffin you ask us to take off the trash. (the wrapper)
-You said, “the milk is saying, drink me.”
You introduce yourself with different names. The most recent is Marissa. You will say hi and have a conversation with anyone within 5 feet. You are an extremely social child.
-You were with Daddy in Costco and you were introducing yourself to people as Maria and telling them that Daddy is your prince.
-We were watching the Banff film festival when you saw a rock climber on the big screen. You yelled, “I have that harness!”
-After mommy went paragliding you were referring to it as “snork-a-gliding”
When we were driving to Holcomb Valley you were crying and saying, “I want to get out and shake myself all about!
-You recently said, “I thoughted about this.”
